A signature look at some of magic's greats. Don Lawton was well known as a performer, dealer and host of the Magic Castle during its golden age. During all that time he kept an autograph book of the great magicians he encountered, which became in time a book of cherished memories. His wife Joan Lawton has had those autographs professionally analyzed by handwriting expert Glenda Ross and has added photos of the signators and introductory material about Don's life and career, with numerous photos. As a bonus, Don's trademark scripts for Clippo, Disecto, the Sucker Paper Tear and Egg Bag are included. Among the many autographs are those of Carl Ballantine, Harry Blackstone Sr., John Booth, Walter Gibson, Dai Vernon, Harlan Tarbell, Okito, Ed Marlo, Dr. Jaks, John Booth, P. C. Sorcar and dozens more. Forewords by Jim Steinmeyer, John Gaughan, and introductory material by Lance Burton, Bruce Cervon, Joan Lawton and a Lewis Ganson article from the GEN on Don, updated by Leo Behnke. A wonderful tribute to a much loved personality, and a great read on his many heroes and friends. Additional pages allow you to make this your own autograph book! Beautifully produced, and limited to 500 numbered copies.
