An immigrant to the United Kingdom, by the time he was twenty, Goldston was a professional solo magician and later a professional dealer. Goldston became manager of the Conjuring, Theatrical, & Entertainment Departments at Gamage's Department Store in London. In 1914, Goldston opened his own shop, Will Goldston, Ltd. at Aladdin House, London. A prolific author and publicist, Goldston was famous for his "Locked Book Series" books with a lock and key to preserve the secrets. In the 1920s, Goldston Ltd began operating as theatrical and vaudeville agents as well, booking shows for a wide variety of performers. This is a booklet produced by Eddie Dawes for a talk he gave at a collector's meeting in 1999 in the United States. A numbered limited edition, it is fascinating profile of Will Goldston.
