This is a card-changing prop over a hundred years old, described in Hoffmans Modern Magic. This model is made from spun metal, in a slightly different design. This prop will enable you to change a playing card, visiting card, pay envelope, or any similar item. It is designed to work with items up to the size of a poker size playing card. The pedestal could also be used for a torn and restored currency note or bill effect: a mutilated currency note placed in pay envelope is magically restored. It can be used to force a card. Another type of application would be for "Spirit Messages". Blank card, or performers visiting card, or a picture card with a picture of a crystal ball is placed on pedestal. It could be placed in a small pay envelope and then put into the pedestal. When the pedestal is uncovered, a spirit message appears naming the spectators selection, or answering his question, or giving the total of the selected numbers and so on. This is a utility prop, with wider applications than just changing a playing card. With a little thought it will find a favorite spot in your act.
