The magician shows a cube to the audience, each side a different color. He hands it to a member of the audience to make a throw, saying "Please hold the cube, but be careful since this is an extremely valuable one! Don't squeeze it too hard!" When spectator throws the cube it turns out that it has been squashed and is completely unusable! "What happened to my cube? I asked you not to squeeze it too hard! Now I have to buy a new one..." The squashed cube is solid and cannot be restored to normal cube shape. The trick can of course be performed repeatedly using the same cube.
