Starting with a folded sheet of paper, you ask a spectator to simply name any card. You unfold the paper to show an entire deck printed on the paper and point to their card, proving your prediction was correct! Handing the sheet of paper to the spectator, you ask him to shuffle and cut the cards. You demonstrate by ripping the sheet in two and giving the spectator a free choice of either half. The spectator continues to rip the sheet in half until he has a bunch of small pieces of paper in his hand. He's now instructed to mix the pieces and freely select any one he wants. Now the spectator merely thinks of one of the cards on that piece. You read the spectators mind telling him the color, suit and value of the thought-of card!
