Important note…The camera used to shoot this video was analog so the video quality of the performances aren't that great. That being said, they are still valuable as they allow you to see the flow and timing of how the tricks should be performed. (It's just hard to see the face of the chosen card in some cases) The explanations are clear and detailed. The navigation menu is excellent. There is a "sleight section" at the end of the DVD where Glenn teaches all the sleights needed to perform the tricks. The sleights section was filmed from the magician's vantage point. The DVD run time is 2 hrs. Some of the material on this DVD has been re-shot and included on other DVDs however there are some great tricks only available on this disk. Things on this DVD not on the other DVDs: Bounce no Bounce Opener--This is Gelnn's preferred way/trick to open and break the ice in a restaurant setting. It is a very low stress approach that is perfect for restaurant work. He winds up performing for 99% of the tables with this approach. The approach is the brain child of Chad Long. You will need a set of the Bounce-no Bounce Balls. (Available at Midwest Magic) This always plays well and gets things started on the right foot. It is Very easy to perform. Reverse 5--A very easy trick that always gets a good response. It has a nice kicker that gets the 4 aces into play. With the aces now in play, you go into the following trick or any other 4 ace routine. Carney/Daley Aces--This is a nice 4 ace trick. The red aces are openly put on the bottom of the four card packet and are immediately shown to be on top again. You can do this as many times as you wish. (It will fool you because it looks so darn fair!) Then you can end with a little phase that reminds me of Dr. Daley's last trick. This trick uses a sleight you will probably be unfamiliar with, but it is not very difficult to master. Also, the trick uses only the four aces, no extra cards. Cut and Restored String--This is something Glenn usually carries with him for strolling gigs and restaurant work. The handling is very clean. A strong illusion where the magic happens in your spectator's hands. Often, people's jaws drop when he performs this trick. You will learn everything you need to make this up and how to carry it in your pocket so you don't wind up with a mess of tangled strings. When Glenn makes up this trick, he usually makes about twenty or so, so he's good for 2 to 3 gigs. It takes about a minute to make one up. Viagra--This is Glenn's presentation and handling for a nice sleight of hand method for a rising card effect. The angles are very good, it's not very difficult to do and you're guaranteed to get a laugh. The impossible Transposition--This is a very nice visual 2 card transposition. Houdini--Glenn's handling and presentation of Dean Dill's fantastic trick called Plastrick. One really nice thing about this DVD is everything is routined into sets so you can see how every trick flows from one trick into the next. The sets consist of an easy set, an intermediate set and a more advanced set.
