Attention all Wallet Collectors and performers who have come to know Ron for quality and simplicity of thinking! Announcing the Dayton Wallet Workshop! For sometime this simple but clever idea was shared with a select few subscribers to Oracle Magazine. Now, in new forma, Ron shares for the first time with the magic community at large, his Dayton Wallet. This is a simple Do-It-Yourself project for the magician or mentalist. With a few simple tools and a few minutes of your time, you can create a magician's loading wallet that is charming in the ease of operation and versatility. Specifically, this is what would be considered a loading wallet, allowing you to load a card, or any small object in to your wallet as needed. It could similarly be used to steal any small object from within your wallet, and peeked at later. It takes you step by step through the process of creating this simple but powerful utility device (And best of all, you can make as many of these wallets for your own use as you like - all for the price of the manuscript!) But the HOW-TO is only one half of the value of this little gem. The other half is the two routines which Ron has supplied. First - A deck is riffle shuffled and a spectator is given free choice to cut the deck at any point, and place their cut-to card face down on the table. You do not touch the card at this point. The freely selected card is marked with a sharpie on the BACK and SIGNED by the spectator on the face. The spectator replaces the card on the deck. You attempt to name their unseen card using your psychic ability (body Language, finger tip sight or whatever you like). However, you name the WRONG CARD (Gasp- Oh No!) Not to be outdone, you take the card (Marked back still visible and showing on the top of the deck) and turn it over, showing that the marked card, which previously WAS their signed card, now is NOT the card they signed, but the (apparently wrong) card that you divined earlier. You toss this card onto the table, commenting - "Of course THAT couldn't be your card...Your card is in my wallet!" (And sure enough, when you open the ZIPPERED COMPARTMENT of your wallet, they can reach in and pull out their card…Signed on the face, marked on the back! The tabled card is wiped on your sleeve and the mark that was seen on its back (Now clearly back on the selected card where it started) has vanished! Now...The BEST thing about this trick is that it does not require any palming, no controlling of the selected card and the spectator will believe they see their card plainly right up until the instant it vanishes! How? As Ron says in the booklet - Through Subterfuge and lies! The second routine, for those of you who are familiar with Ron's Bizarre writings such as "Darker Light" and "By Darkness Influenced", is a bizarre version of the same routine. Enjoy a story of a Soldier and a deck of cards from the 1800's. Gambling with the Devil's Pasteboards. A treat for you lovers of storytelling and the bizarre.
