This volume continues a seemingly endless supply of Pavels ideas connected with magnets. Besides some additional rope effects, it features more effects with silks, cards and coins. It also gives general information on the Magnet Assortment, complete with a detailed explanation on how to attach magnets to ropes and silks. FLASH ROPE RESTORATION--The performer begins by holding a length of rope with an end in each hand. Suddenly, the ends of the rope knot automatically thus forming a large loop. The loop is sectioned in the center. Now the knot is untied and--presto!--in a flash, the two pieces turn visibly into a continuous length. A spectator is allowed to pull on it. This trick will fool even magicians! PERFECT LOOP PENETRATION & LINKING RINGS CLIMAX--This routine uses the same rope loop as above. Three large flat cardboard rings are handed out for examination. The rings penetrate magically one by one onto the loop. Then, in the same way, the rings are released from the rope, all at the same time. Finally, the three rings link. This is surprising and totally unexpected finish! SLICK ROPE SEQUENCE--A length of rope is cut into two pieces: short and long. First, the pieces visibly equalize. Then the ropes are knotted into two separate loops. In a logical sequel, the loops link. To finish, the knots are untied. In the process, the loops turn automatically back into a continuous length of rope. Straight and clean! BAFFLING ROPE RESTORATION--A spectator is invited to examine a length of rope and is asked to cut it at any position he wishes. The two rope pieces are placed into an ordinary empty paper bag. The bag is blown up and burst. When the rope is pulled away from the crumpled paper, it is seen to be one piece! This trick uses a totally original method and is a fooler. MODERN SILK TYING--Explanations--As an introduction to “silk” magnets, Pavel performs the Ultimate 20th Century Silks using a chair servante and a novel version of his original Crystal Tube (alias Silk-Blow-Tie). The explanations also include Pavel’s personal handling of a handy device that will enable you to vanish a silk in a very clean way. MAGNETIC TIP WAND--Pavel introduces a new prop in magic, a wand fitted with a ”rope” magnet. He demonstrates two ways to use it. A vanished silk appears mysteriously attached to the tip of a wand. The use of a Sleeve Pull Vanisher completes the explanation. An anti-gravity effect occurs when the wand, laid at the edge of a table, remains suspended in the air. UNIQUE COIN IN BALLOON--A clear balloon is inflated and held in one hand while a large coin is picked up with the other. The performer taps the coin against the balloon and it penetrates the balloon visibly. The balloon with the coin is handed out for examination. The subtlety of the method will please you. CABARET RISING CARD--A spectator is given a deck of cards and is asked to freely select any card, show it to the others present, place the card into the deck and finally, return the cards to the case. After this is done, the performer takes the case and opens it. The spectator’s chosen card slowly rises out of it! GREEN ROPE MYSTERY--The magician knots a length of green rope into a loop, which he places over his head. Then the magician picks up a yellow rope and ties a firm knot in the center. He places the rope behind his neck to join the green loop and brings both ropes in front. When the ropes are pulled apart, it is seen that the yellow knot has jumped onto the green loop. The knot is untied to reveal that the green loop has a yellow section in the center. Classic Pavel!
