This illusion is accomplished away from all stage furniture of any kind. A three-fold screen is displayed and formed into a three-sided cabinet. Performer states that he is “going to catch a ghost”. It “takes a thief to catch a thief”, the magician explains as he dons a white sheet costume. He then displays a second sheet and drapes it over the front opening of the screen. The sheet is immediately dropped and there is a grinning, full-length skeleton dangling in the center of the screen. Again he drapes the sheet over the opening. When it is removed this time the magician is seen standing there, smiling, minus the ghost costume! The person holding the sheet, (this was the magician), removes the sheet costume and proves to be a girl! Only the performer and one girl assistant required. Any three-fold screen (borrow it where you perform) and the sheet costumes (easy to make up) and you are all set. (Secret only - no props supplied.)
