This apparatus consists of a cabinet 10 inches by 5 inches square, just bouncing with decoration. The cabinet is open at the top, front, and rear, and may even be examined. A spectator inflates a balloon and it is placed in the cabinet. The performer smashes it with the block of wood, and claims a rabbit will appear in the balloon! Nothing has apparently happened. He then reaches into the cabinet and brings out a flat rabbit. Try it again. This time as the balloon breaks, a live dove appears, a if it was inside the balloon. This may be a visible change and, don’t forget, the cabinet was examined. Work it on any table or even in your hands. Scores of effects are possible. Balloon to Silk--Balloon to Candy or Glass of Liquid--or anything else that is about the size of the cabinet. Operate everything close-up and surrounded. Entirely mechanical. No hanging bags.
