Show a brightly decorated metal box with a handle on the top. Inside is a silk, which you take out. The box is given to a spectator to hold, as you vanish the silk. "Where do you think the silk went?" you ask. Naturally, everyone says its back in the box. And, when the spectator opens it to find out--the box falls apart and the pieces land on the floor with a loud clatter…and there is the silk hanging from the handle!
