Mentalist places a picket size "Diary" (which covers every day of the year) on his table, and asks the spectator to think of any month and day that they like. That date is located in the book, and the "lucky" card for the date (different that all the surrounding cards and dates) is noted. Performer removes a red deck, spreads it face-up on the table, and has a card selected. When the card is turned over, it has a blue back. Mentalist spreads the cards, now face-down, on the table and removes a red "premonition" card from his pocket, which is then shuffled into the red deck. Another spectator is asked to select a month and day in the book and again the blue card matches the card in the book.
