The performer displays an empty birdhouse with a perch in the middle. The doors to the birdhouse are closed, and the perch pulled out and shown to be just a simple rod running through the birdhouse. It is replaced, and when the doors are again opened, a pair of doves or other small birds appear on the perch. The effect can be used by itself, or in conjunction with another prop, like a Flip Over Box, where the birds are first vanished, then re-appear in the Dove Cote. The Dove Cote is a large stage prop, made in wood and metal, handsomely polished, and comes complete with instructions and ideas for use.
