From Edwin's Magic Arts comes this great children's routine, politically incorrect name and all. This effect combines a little novelty cartooning, then a torn and restored paper and a surprise climax. First the word "China," written on a large, bright piece of paper, changes into a picture of a Chinese magician. The paper is then removed from the clipboard, and is torn into small pieces. The paper is unfolded to prove that its been restored--or has it? Something seems to have gone wrong. Opening out the pieces of paper, they are shown restored, but form the frame of the picture only. The Chinese magician has vanished. The magician picks up the board that hed previously discarded and says that there's only one thing to do--start over. But when he turns the board around--there's the Chinese magician attached to it! There can be some fun by-play as the magician pretends that he does not understand or see the figure, turning the board this way and that before he discovers the missing character. This routine is perfect for children.
