He brought out a little box like the ring originally came in, placed the ring inside, and closed the box. He explained the box removes all possibility of sleight of hand, but when he opened it, the ring was gone! He pointed out a silk bracelet around his wrist and waved his hand over it. My wife’s ring appeared linked on the bracelet! He took off the bracelet, which was a long silk cord, and handed it to me for inspection while my wife examined her own ring. He took them back from us and thread the ring onto the cord and placed them both in the little box with the ends of the cord sticking out of the sides. My wife and I each held onto an end of the cord while the ring, inside the box, dangled from the center. He pulled down on the box and it came free from the cord with the ring still inside! Aaron opened the box, removed the ring, and put the box away in his pocket. He demonstrated, not once, but twice, how the ring just mystically comes off the cord. Then, one last time, he thread the ring onto the cord and handed me the ends. He gripped the ring in his fist and pulled down...the ring was gone! Not just missing from the cord, but both hands were empty too! The ring had vanished! He pointed at the center of the cord where the ring once hung, and gripped that part in his fist. When he opened his hands, he had the ends and I was holding the middle! He pushed the cord into his fist and it was gone. Vanished! Aaron reached into his pocket and removed the little box. It was now beautifully wrapped in a bow with that silk cord. My wife untied the bow and opened the box. Her ring was inside! I’ve not seen magic like that before or since!
