Looking for publicity? Predict a newspaper headline weeks before its publication! Predict an event that will take place in the future! All without locked boxes and elaborate chests! This simple and straight forward method is sure-fire and 100 percent convincing. The performer visits the newspaper office or phones them to tell the editor he is sending them a letter marked "Prediction". He tells the editor, "In this letter is a prediction of an event or a news happening or a front page headline which will appear in your paper on a certain date--the date when I will be appearing in your city." He further instructs the editor to place this letter in a safe place and that the letter is not to be opened until the night of the show and then only on the stage in front of the audience. Imagine how this can be played up in the newspaper in the days preceding your engagement. On the night of the show the editor comes up on stage, removes the letter, checks the postmark and states that it is the same letter he received a week (or more) ago and that it has not left his possession. The envelope is opened, by the editor of by any other spectator. He removes the letter, reads it and finds that it is a true prediction of a headline or news event, published for the first time in that day's issue. There are no confederates, no apparatus and no sleight of hand. The performer never touches the original letter at any time after it is mailed to the editor, either before or during the show. This is something that every performer should have and use. It is the greatest!
