In the past there have been very few good and impromptu methods for the Rising Cards. The plunger method and the saliva method seem to have been the only ones where the selected card could be made to rise from the middle of the pack. This book, by Joseph K. Schmidt, is the result of a conversation between its author and the late Bert Allerton. It contains several methods for performing this card classic without the use of apparatus--no threads, no gimmicks! The main feature of all the methods explained is that the chosen card rises from the middle of the deck. There are thirty-six 8 1\2"x 11" pages with thirty-three excellent line drawings by the author. Try this for something decidedly different.
